free wireless broadband in St. Albans (Map)

I've been making more maps using myGmaps ...

This map shows the free wireless (wifi) broadband points in St. Albans, Hertfordshire. The problem I've found is that although I can take a screen shot and photoshop in some reference points, as I've done below by adding St. Albans Thameslink station and St. Albans Abbey to the map, when I do this it means that the pop ups showing the addresses of the wifi locations are no longer clickable. But if I add the same reference points to the map created by myGmaps, there is no way to differentiate by colour, for example, or symbol as I've done in my photoshopped version, so that people know that the Cathedral and Thameslink station aren't access points. A simple tick box, or the ability to drag and drop and image, would be lovely. By the way, I've also figured out that myGmaps doesn't like it when you use an "&" in any of your descriptions.

Here's the two versions of the St. Albans wireless map:

Photoshopped version of map above with reference points (but not clickable so no exact adresses):

Any idea where I can find info on Wireless broadband in the Hemel Hempstead area? I'm visiting my parent in August and it would be great to update my blog (yes I'm a sad git) from somewhere outside for a change.

Do you live in St Albans? This is a really handy link - thanks.

Great post too bad the link to MyGmaps doesn't work and the photo-shopped image doesn't tell you anything.

Could you maybe update this post? Would be great.

Cheers

Why is the internet free, who pays for it and why can anyone access it? Thanks

I really tried but I could find no trace of wifi of any kind at The Vintry. The girl behind the bar didn't know what I was talking about either (I thought she was going to call the police). I'd strike that one if I were you. Fantastically useful list, by the way!

Lol. I have done a recent update, where I only list the three that I have used personally in the past month or so, over on St. Albans blog: http://www.stalbansblog.co.uk
