iGod: church podcasts Sunday message

According to the BBC North Yorkshire website, a Church in Harrogate has started podcasting their Sunday religious message. Pastor Tim Eldridge of Harrogate New Life Church told the BBC:

"We put one message out on public view for about three weeks and we were just absolutely staggered by the number of times it was downloaded. About 160 times."

There is a church in Jersey that started podcasting a while back as well - and another church in the island that set up and answerphone service so you could call and leave a message for god (I'm not joking) that the priest would then say in a prayer!

Also an interesting take on the use of iPod technology - the Jersey Heritiage Trust are scrapping printed guides in favour of mp3 files that contain full descriptions and audio tours of all their facilities.

You can either download the files off their website before visiting and put them on your mp3 player (not there yet) or pay a small fee and rent an iPod while you're on the site.
