3 mobile in the UK is offering users the opportunity to make money from cameraphone videos and images. According to the website, 3 subscribers can upload their video using the short code 32323.
The Guardian reports that the service, which carries the moto "Break the news and spot celebs wherever you are and make money too", is now serving 1 million downloads a month. But a word of warning: it costs 50p to upload a video and 10p to download a video – with the person who submitted the video getting one pence of that – so it would take 50 downloads for a contributor to break even.
