my nancy white interview on bbc radio

Last month I had the pleasure of a spending a few hours with online community guru Nancy White who visited the BBC, and gave a presentation at e-mint, whilst in London. As I mentioned here previously, BBC Radio 5 Live’s Pods and Blogs gave me a mini disc and microphone and asked me to do an interview – photos and full details here.

Pods and Blogs co-presenter Chris Vallance has posted the running order for tonight’s broadcast and it looks like that audio is going to air tonight.

Last week Simon started calling me a "meejahor" because I’ve had, in addition to the above, a string of media appearances recently, including:

  • talking about blogs with Chris Evans on BBC Radio 2
  • answering questions about blogging from Graham Holliday at Journalist.co.uk
  • interviewing Simon Grice (etribes) and Tom Bureau (C-Net) for Pods and Blogs
  • getting interviewed myself about mumsnet’s libel whoas by 5 Live’s Victoria Derbyshire
  • being interviewed, and having a whole sentence fragment attributed to me, in an article about youtube that appeared in a newspaper in Ottawa, Canada

Needless to say, it’s been an unusual, and unusually busy, month or so but I’m hoping, if they’ll let me, to keep doing stuff for Pods and Blogs so fingers crossed you’ll have to put up with even more of cross-platform me soon. ;-)

  1. Sadly it took me five minutes to work out what meejahor meant… What I want to know is how can I listen to pods and blogs? I tried in Vietnam and failed. It would make sense if the show was a podcast, considering it’s subject matter, no?. Oh, and it’s journalism.co.uk, if you don’t mind :)

  2. Hi Graham. I really do need to hire a spell checker and proof reader! And no, you can’t listen to pods and blogs as a podcast although it is available on listen again BUT we’re working on something that might solve that. The Nancy White audio, by the way, is outside the normal P & B segment – it was 3.20am on Tuesday morning.
