Last week I got an email from Maggie Stiefvater who had seen a photo I posted on flickr and wanted permission to use it as the basis for a painting.
The photo, which is of a few pubs, including the Rose and Crown, in the St. Michaels area of St. Albans, is on the left and the finished artwork is on the right. If you’d like to buy the painting, it’s currently for sale on ebay.
Cute painting! You “painted the town red” guys. The painting looks so comical yet so interesting. What medium was used for this one anyway? So you guys are into painting from photos? Do you also consider painting portraits of people from photos?
