In this regional leadership role at a leading integrated PR and Marketing agency, I was responsible for digital practice thought-leadership, pan-regional business development activities, the coordination of digital resources regionally, and vendor relationships. I successfully sold and led high-value contracts with a number of new and existing clients.
Managing Director – Dachis Group Europe
Dachis Group was a boutique social business consultancy. Soon after I joined the business, our investors, in preparation for acquisition, took the decision to focus resources on further development of our proprietary big data analytics platform. I was ultimately tasked with disposing of ongoing consultancy contracts and winding up the 35 person European operation. Dachis Group was acquired by Sprinklr in early 2014.
Director of Digital – Edelman
As the second most senior member of Edelman Digital’s London operation, I was responsible for team leadership, business development and C-level consultancy. During my tenure, our practice revenue grew by over 300%, allowing us to increase the size of team from 30 to 90 members. During my three years with the agency, I brought approximately £4.5m of new contracts into the firm.
Social Media Practice Lead – Headshift
As a practice lead, I was responsible for leading a team of approximately 15 consultants, UX designers, technical project managers and software developers. I also led the core new business activities of thought leadership, marketing and events.
Acting Editor – Blogs and Social Media – BBC
At the BBC, first as a Senior Broadcast Journalist and, ultimately, as the BBC’s first Editor of Blogging, I led the development and roll out of the Corporation’s strategy, and underlying processes for delivery, for building audience communities across a variety of owned and social media properties.
